Take a Shit on Me

'Take A Shit On Me" is a protest song against all the bullies and tyrants and dictators of the world who make all the rest of us so miserable with their bullying and power games and torture. Hitler, Saddam Hussein, John Ashcroft, Pinochet--doesn't matter, they're everywhere and eternal always in all human societies. They are an obvious scourge and cause of so much misery. Why do we tolerate their existence? Why do we support them out of misplaced patriotism or craven fear? My Dad used to yell at me all the time, so I nurture a great deal of rage when I see bullies in dysfunctional families, as schoolyard bullies on the playground tormenting their classmates, as mean bosses browbeating their employees, and as despots torturing and killing their subjects. It's a universal, timeless phenomenon; it's miserable suffering at the bad end of someone else's torments, and it's so damned unnecessary. I wrote the song based on memories of my father screaming at me, but it indicts ALL bullies, dictators, thugs, and tyrants EVERYWHERE ETERNALLY. TAKE A SHIT ON ME Copyright c 1998 John Trubee Published by Escape From The Evil Dwarves, BMI Take a shit on me Take a shit on me I won't be free until you torture me And stomp me down into the ground Take a shit on me Take a shit on me Why don't you kick my ass? Why don't you kick my ass? Come on and kick my ass all across the yard To show the world you're the man in charge Come on and kick my ass Why don't you kick my ass? All the tyrants of the world Always kill us every day We gotta rise on up and blast them down And feed their bloody corpses to our starving dogs Come on and torture me Why don't you torture me? Come on and torture me in your dungeon cell As I writhe and bleed in your despot's Hell Come on and torture me Why don't you torture me? All the tyrants of the world Always kill us every day We gotta rise on up and blast them down And feed their bloody corpses to our starving dogs (REPEATEDLY REPEAT AND FADE OUTRO CHORUS)
