Earth Girls

recently I met these environmentally- aware girls. the first night they babbled about the earth until I forgot about even wanting to sleep with them. the water was bad the ozone going and I kept drinking. the food was unsafe the laws unfair and I kept drinking. the people were uninformed the politicians unconcerned and I kept drinking. they talked and I drank for so long that I didn't remember them getting my number when they called a few days later. "Hello?" "Hi, this is Susan." oh shit, I thought, another embarassing memory lapse. as always, I tried to pretend I knew who Susan was. "Hi, Susan." eventually I figured it out they got me away from bed and book by dragging me to the bar. at the bar there was a really loud rock band and they sucked but at least I didn't have to hear about the world's problems. I found some of my drinking buddies and we bar-hopped a bit. later we bumped into the earth girls again. we all got offsale and everyone went to my house to drink. I had a case of beer and didn't care for the moment about the sad state the world was in. finally the earth girls and the rest all passed out at my place, tired, drunk, and confident that the world would be the god-damned same in the morning.
