7/13/2006 Monster Under Bed - “Dragon Sandwich ” - [Pervertidora] — Thurston Hunger @ 2:12 am Noodle-doodle instrumentals with a one-trackball mind. The goal of Monster Under Bed: to digitally tickle your funny bone. That way you too can enjoy the sound of “Technology Laughing at Me” (#7 on here) a beauty of laboratory boop computer bounced over tambura and sitar scent too. Other cuts feature big Boris Karloff synthsteps squishing out sound, like on “Indian Cattle Prod” and “Coming of the Insect Overlords.” A ghost calliope shows up on “Charming Acid.” The last track has some vocal samples in a swirl stew. This is definitely a release for the happy haunter in your life. Almost all pieces could add hit power to any number of video games, tear the duvet off this mothersucka and say hello to your old friend, the Monster Under Bed. -Thurston Horror
5/29/2006 Monster Under Bed - “Tomorrow’s Hangover ” - [Pervertidora] — Thurston Hunger @ 9:27 pm Finally a band (person? being?) not afraid of the dark, the dusty, and the pitch wheel. Lot’s of slowed-down-to-the-point-of-a- fallen-arcangel voice loops, over programmed synth pogroms. Fuzzy Wuzzy was a Mugwump? Overall more Baby Godzilla than the big guy himself. Scaly, flakey, a special spew of old Gary Numan lps and flea market hi-finds. Spooky good…upchuck on the downbeat. -Thurston Hunger
14 songs on Pervertidora records ,1999. Wow i dont think i have ever heard an album quite like this, becuase it is all orchestral compositions, but twisted, and is made into a etheral soundtrack to zone out to, very demented like. This is what experimental and industrial music should sound like, Not bull shit like NIN or FLA. MUB definatly takes from Aphex Twin, Kraftwerk, and Throbbing Gristle. This is an act that I recommend to any listener of Ambient, Goth, Techno , Industrial, or Experiemental, There is not a single song on the disc that I would skip over, because they all sound different, but they make the disc a journey throught the dementia of the band. This is much better then any shit TVT or Wax Trax could put out. Pervertidora does definatly have some talent in this act. Rating:7.5/10
